Bityond is a recruitment, talent and project management platform that matches candidates to jobs, based on skills, experience, characteristics and availability. Our mission is to give candidates a quick way to find meaningful jobs and employers the power to recruit people with the right skill-set, or to manage employees by skills. As we transition into a distributed network model we aim at bringing more value to our community, by giving economic incentives, via the Bityond token, to any user who participates in the Bityond network.
How does the project create value to the ecosystem and differs from competing projects:
Bityond differs from other skills-matching and recruitment platforms for being the first to incorporate an economic incentive for users in 3 different ways:
(a) Free tokens: By using Bityond users
always get an economic incentive, Bityond tokens;
(b) Voting: as users will be able to
vote on new developments and features;
(c) Utility: as users can spend tokens
to sponsor new developments.
To receive tokens users can:
(1) Participate in the ICO or,
(2) Use the platform, as tokens will be
given for free upon completing certain actions (creating a profile, adding
skills, accepting a job, etc). This will be incorporated in version 3.

WHAT IS BITYOND
Bityond is a recruitment, talent and project management platform that matches candidates
to jobs, based on skills, experience, characteristics and availability. Our mission is to give can-
didates a quick way to find meaningful jobs and employers the power to recruit people with
the right skill-set, or to manage employees by skills. As we transition into a distributed network
model we aim at bringing more value to our community, by giving economic incentives, via
the Bityond token, to all users who participate in the Bityond network.
Currently there is no platform available on the market with Bityond’s
key features:
1
Technical skills matching: all skills available in Bityond have been standardized
for an accurate and simple matching process;
Limit your range: Employers can chose between open jobs for the entire net-
2
work (recruitment), or jobs only open to organization members (talent man-
agement);
3
Interviews module: Employers ca...
Utility incentive: Bityond tokens will entitle owners to participate in polls and
6
the ability to donate by spending tokens to help creating future developments
and functionality. Token holders will have a voice on how the platform devel-
ops, by participating!
Subscription model:
Bityond does not charge a fee on each successful

hire
. Each subscription entitles employers to creating a certain number of jobs
and for each job one candidate can be hired. The cost per hire significantly
decreases by using Bityond.

THE CURRENT RECRUITMENT
& RESOURCING PROCESS
Today the most common ways of recruiting are via:
1
Spam email sent to lists of potential candidates;
2
Spam messages sent across the linkedin network;
3
Posting of jobs in tech job sites, hoping the right candidate applies;
4
Looking for potential candidates in linkedin, Xing, LandingJobs, etc;
5
Looking for potential candidates in internal candidates’ databases
.
Most recruiters methods do not take into account
the actual costs of hiring
an employee. It’s
important to understand that when there is high employee turnover, organizations are wasting
time, money and resources.

PROBLEM
Candidates do not like spam email, neither wasting time looking through job posts. Recruiters
often face difficulties when trying to find the right candidate on a timely manner, or when evalu-
ating candidates’ profiles and skills.
This is: how skills and experience translate in terms of actual professional knowledge.
Issues can be found for both candidates and employers.
Candidates
1.
Looking at each job post is a tiring and long process. Candidates need to open different
job posts, check if the role, skills and experience match their skillset and only afterwards they
can apply.
2.
Applying via company websites is not a productive and straightforward process, as dif-
ferent companies use different CV registration portals. More however, information required is
often redundant.
3.
Candidates receive too much spam email, not connected to their skillset which is off-put-
ting. The current approach is to send as many emails to candidates as pos...
Employers
1.
Too much time is wasted by recruiters looking for potential candidates on platforms like
linkedin (who are very aggressive towards user behaviour). Also, recruiters might not find the
right candidate immediately as matching is substantially limited.
2.
The cost of a bad hire
can have a significant financial impact on any business, as recruit-
ment costs are quite high, especially in IT, as salaries are higher than most sectors.
3.
Medium and large companies’ recruiters and managers can’t always assess all employees
skillset. How can they decide who is the best person for a job, available at a given moment in
time within their organization?
4.
Maintaining candidates’ information in internal databases requires skills and experience
maintenance (data housekeeping), which is usually overlooked. Candidates’ skills improve
and change over time, at a much faster pace than recruiters’ update CVs.
5.
Currently no web platform or professi...

SOLUTION
Bityond works as an intermediary between candidates’ skills, experience and availability and
employers jobs requirements. By using Bityond candidates do not need to look for jobs and em-
ployers do not need to look for candidates, as the platform finds and selects users to jobs de-
pending on skills.
The goal is simple: candidates can only apply to open job opportunities that match one or more
skills they possess and employers can only contact and select candidates that match their job
requirements. In a sense Bityond streamlines the process for both employers and candidates. It’s
quite useful for Employers to quickly find people that match the skill-set they need and for Can-
didates to receive better job opportunities, connected to their skills and experience. Bityond’s
ultimate goal is to be the platform of excellence in connecting Employers with Candidates from
different backgrounds, with different skills and experiences. The platform is designed for differ-
ent job ty...

USER ENROLLMENT
Current Bityond structure is divided into two groups: user enrolment and membership type. User
enrolment dictates how a user is perceived against an organization, project and job. A user might
have four different enrolment types: Owner, Manager, Member and Guest.
Organization:
Owner, Manager, Member and Guest
Project:
Manager, Member, Guest
A user, who has a job in a project, must always have an enrolment type in said project. Additional
details about how each enrolment type works can be seen
@bityond.com/help/how-it-works.
