Abstract
Xender is an instant file & app transferring platform connecting mobile devices across
various systems. It is well received on a global scale for its speed, convenience and cost-
saving qualities. Xender functions with the embedded wifi chip of each device and thus
enables connections among multiple terminals. The speed of Xender can go as much as
50 times faster than Bluetooth and the distance it can reach (approximately 100 meters) is
also much longer than traditional technologies in the field. From a micro-perspective,
Xender functions the way it is displayed as below: two phones are connected with
embedded wifi chip and Xender allows either device to send photos, music, movies and
apps to another without consuming any data.
Xender, by nature a decentralized D2D (Device to device) distribution and transferring
platform, requires each mobile device to function as a node, where each node plays the
role of a central server but is meanwhile not a central server. Namely, each node

Xender has fully engaged in mobile industry for years, accumulating abundant
resources, more than 600 million registered users and more than 110 million of monthly
active users. Every single day, hundreds of millions of files including pictures, music, videos,
movies and apps are being shared and transferred via Xender globally. Essentially, it is a
distributed D2D platform to transfer values.
Based on its current distributed model, Xender introduced Blockchain technology and
token economy to build this distributed business infrastructure of movie industry:
MovieChain. It is a decentralized, traceable, digitized ecosystem as well as business
platform of movie industry, providing services to the registration, discovery, downloading,
transferring, purchasing, consumption and other transactions of any digital assets in the
form of movie, music video, television series and etc. In the meanwhile, MovieChain will
launch its own token generation event with the name of MovieCoin (MVC). The tokens

Centralized Streaming Platforms (Genuine
Market)
Streaming services replaced television
Video-streaming is one of the most audacious business moves for the past decade.
Video-streaming giants like Netflix, Amazon Prime and iQiyi swept the market and took all
the users from traditional DVD-leasing giants like Blockbuster.
However, the video-streaming business is not as perfect as it seems and structural
problems are getting worse as time goes by. Whether its highly centralized way of operation,
high maintenance fee and consequently the high cost for users, or the fact that online
streaming business model cannot prevent piracy from stealing profits from content creators.
Both users and content providers are increasingly shadowed and inhibited by the growing
control and power of those centralized platforms.
A Chinese example: iQiyi
Since 2010, iQiyi has grown into one of the biggest online video streaming platforms
with huge traffic every day. It has accumulated more than 500 million act...

former would be authorized to release Netflix’s original series to Chinese audiences.
An American example: Netflix
Netflix as America’s No. 1 video-streaming platform has barely faced any challengers.
In the first quarter of 2017, Netflix witnessed an increase of 1.42 million users in USA and
3.43 million users for the global market. However, the numbers were less than previously
forecasted. Compared to the same period of previous year, the number of new international
users dropped by 22%.
Thanks to its original series, Netflix has achieved its current glory. Take
House of
Cards
as an example, this show harvested 4.6 million subscribers within the first quarter
of 2014.
House of Cards
is also the very first series nominated by major Amy Awards
without being played on a television channel. According to
Business Insider
quoting a
report of Morgan Stanley, the average rating for Netflix originals far exceeds other brands
like Amazon. Having noticed t...

First of all, all contents are stored in and distributed from a central server and this will
inevitably boost the cost for IDC+CDN maintenance.
Secondly, annual or seasonal subscription fee amounts to numbers no less than cable
fees and users are charged uniformly regardless of how frequently they can utilize such
service. Besides, the platform has total control over contents displayed and essentially
Netflix users are not free to watch whatever they want to, their choices are limited to what
was provided by the platform.
Last but not least, video-streaming platforms like Netflix require cheap and steady data
supply in the form of cable, Wi-Fi or 4G to sustain their services.
